Do you know the muffin man, well, maybe not, but we do know the muffin men. Apparently, pretty well too in a demanding 12-5 win. The game itself took about half as long as our 12-5 win against Y Not Bruce. Everybody played extremely well and efficient. We figured out early their game plan of long bombs, then shut them down.
We want to give a special congratulations to Scott Ellingson who became the newest father on the team when his wife gave birth to a baby girl Friday. Congrats Scott.
Our next game is this Thursday Nov. 4, at 9:15, so be there early, 30 min. The warm up really helps, trust me.
The Shuaigemen are going to be the hardest team so far. They beat the #1 team Deprotonators (whom were consistently ranked #1 throughout the season) so it will be a battle, but if we come out strong and get some quick momentum then we will crush the competition.
Ok, I know you have all been waiting for it. The links to the game video is below. Some of you may have seen my posts on youtube yesterday, but they were incomplete videos, I have fixed it now so the whole game is there. The game starts at 1-0 for us.

Game Cap of Fresh Elite vs. Y Not Bruce
A 12-5 win. Everybody played great, and I mean everyone played great. We took care of business against our rivals. We played together sharing the disc with everyone. Team spirit is high, lets keep it rolling. Next game is Friday at 8:15, but please, show up at 7:45. I was nervous when a lot of you showed up only 5 min. before the game this last time.
Oh and for your entertainment and mine, Ryan Bingham and I have posted the game on YouTube with the direct links below. Sorry, we forgot to start filming until we had already gotten up 2-0.
Thanks a ton to Alan Money for videorecording it, in spite of freezing his hands off. You da man Money!

Y NOT BRUCE !!--Playoffs
You may not believe it, you may feel like this is destiny, whatever it is you wanted i,t we got it: a rematch with Y Not Bruce this Tuesday Oct. 26 at 7:15 p.m. This means that we have to be there early, half an hour early! So be there at 6:45 p.m., please no later.
Their story is much like ours: They started out as freshman and so last year was their 3rd or 4th year together, and they all are just thrown together relying on athleticism. But they beat us last year in the Division 2 championship on a score of 9-8.
To Recap that game: The beginning was rough, we got down 4-1 and our hope was pretty low. Somehow though we kept it together to lead at halftime. The second half was marked by long time consuming points. Leading 8-6 it looked like we were going to breeze by and capture the victory. However, there was some mischief in the works; with the disc near the end zone we threw a touchdown to Trace Farmer. But no! it was called back for a pick call. We lined it up again, another touchdown! But no! it was called back for another pick call. On the third try we didn't get it in. The time cap was called at 9 and we still had a great chance. The momentum, however, was in their favor and they ended up beating us with some deep long touchdown throws. The T-shirt eluded us once again.
This year will be different. Y Not Bruce does not have all the same members as last year, in fact, I am actually mission friends with a team member, and was invited to play on there team for lack of players. What does this mean? Nothing. We gotta go out and play our game, which is a fast paced offense, and a defense that forces turnovers on their side of the field.
Oh, and I reserved a Camera from the HBLL to get some footage baby!
You gotta believe!

Practice Information Announcement
Hey everybody,
Practice tomorrow, Friday 10/23 at 10 AM at Kwanis Park-this should give BYU game goers to have time to make it to the game.
We are going to go over some drills like reading the frisbee, backhand, forehand, running through the disc, endzone drill, and talking strategy.
Please bring a disc if you have one. Rain or shine, in the tournament they won't care, some of us will remember the times 2 years ago when it snowed and blew. It will give us that much more experience.
If you haven't paid, now is the time, you can bring your $5 either to practice or to the game whenever we have it.
Guys, we're going to win.

The History of Fresh Elite
In the beginning, we had no idea, no experience, and no real skill. As freshman we named ourselves the Fresh. None of us had really every played before. None of us knew what was ahead of us.
It all started out playing pick up frisbee. Reed Crosby then decided to get a team together to have some fun in our freshmen year. Composed of mostly 7th floor and some 6th floor teammates in the Q Hall of Desert Towers, we had nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Even though we had no experience, we did have one thing: Raw athleticism. Many of us practiced out on DT fields learning how to throw the backhand, forehand, and hammer.
On the way to our first game, we lamented the fact that we had signed up in the upper division. Our fears changes to confidence when we went undefeated as freshmen in the regular season. In the tournament we went to the championship game. We lost to Lonestar, but in that time, it was double elimination. We won the losers bracket in memorable style as Tom Stock floated one over the Yellow Jackets fingertips right into the hands of one of our teammates (I can't remember who caught the winning catch). In the championship game one again, we put up a good fight but ended up losing 10-6.
(Fresh 2005)
That might have been the end but in the Fall 2008 Ryan Bingham and Sam Tillman got talking one day in the cougar eat and decided to get the team back together, so they drew lots and Sam was the one to go early and sign up the team. The team played under the name Fresh Reunion Tour (Sam, really? what kind of name was that? ha) We added a few players notably Guillame (who actually lived in the Q Hall freshman year), Phil Sagers, and Jacob Jones. Though, we lost a few games, we still had some raw athleticism. We came in 4th place this year, after dealing with really windy and snowy weather.
In our 3rd season together we played under the name we carry now-Fresh Elite. Josh Sillitoe served as captain. This year Scott Ellingson, Trace Farmer, Gordy Nielson (all from our Q Hall freshman ward), Sarah Preece, and Taylor Bradham joined the team provided necessary fresh legs and great talent. In the second division of the tournament for the 3rd time we sought the coveted T-shirt. And we could smell it, we could almost touch it. It was the championship game. A place we had been before. Trailing early on by 3 or 4 points we came back to lead 8-6 when the game capped at 9. None of us will forget, however, the sad ending. We lost 9-6 to Y Not Bruce.
We have come a long way together. Not many teams have played together longer than we have played together. This year may be our best year yet. Our passes are crisper, our defense is stiffer, and our pose is greater. Will we win the championship this year? Will we be placed in the top division for playoffs? One thing is for sure: We have enough talent, friendship, and athleticism to play with anyone. Right now at the we end the season 4-1, our only lose coming from Dream Catchers 9-11, even though we came back from a 1-6 deficit. However, our first game we beat Fearsome Freshman/Casino Rangers 12-2. Our second game was against Dream Catchers. Our 3rd game we beat the 5 man team Baka 12-8. Our 4th game we beat Up/Team Elizabeth 11-5. And in our most recent game we beat Awesome Forces 12-3.
This means we have scored 56 points while giving up 29 points this season.
May we always stay fresh.
